In February 1913 a new concept in toys was brightening the skies of an otherwise gloomy, war-clouded nation. The toy ( a rubber balloon ) was colorful, economical and filled with play value for children of all ages. It was in this year of an infant balloon market that the trade name of "Eagle" Rubber balloons first appeared.
Hedstrom is known for developing products that are important for a child's development, that promotes exercise and helps to develop athleticism. In days like these, with children at the early ages of 1 and 2 years old spending hours upon hours on electronics, we need to reign them back in with good old fashioned fun. Kids need to be outdoors passing the football with Dad, playing ball with their friends and being athletic.
My youngest son, almost 6 years old, loves Minecraft while my oldest, who is nearing 10 would spend his days watching YouTube videos if I allowed him. It's almost always a fight trying to get them off the electronics and doing something productive.
My new secret weapon is Hedstrom. I just knew their products would help me combat this new age disaster of laziness. For my youngest son I chose the HD Foam Bat and Ball Combo in SpiderMan. His eyes lit up as soon as he saw it and he immediately wanted to go outside with his Dad and try it out. Him and his Dad spent over 2 hours outside playing baseball. The high density foam bat and ball exceeded all of my expectations. The craftsmanship and durability where quite amazing.

For my other son, Logan,  I chose the Sensory Shapes. Logan has always suffered from pretty bad sensory issues (which is quite common with his disorder Kabuki Syndrome). We've tried many products that claim to help or aide in sensory problems. Sometimes they work, but more often than not they are simply just like any other toy. These sensory shapes are geared more toward infants, but Logan has really enjoyed them. He loves the bright colors and the knobby surface definitely sparks his interest. I love products that help his fine motor skills. Hedstroms line of sensory toys offer different shapes, sizes and textures to stimulate the senses. Kids will enjoy the bumpy sensation as they squeeze the material in their hands and get a nice massage stimulation.

Make sure you head on over to Headstrom and check out all of the products they offer. There is no better way for our kids to spend their days than to be active and having fun. From Athletic Gear, Hoppers and Inflatables to Sensory Products and Ball Pits, your sure to find something for kids of any age. Comment below and let me know what you guys do to get your kids active.
