The International Brotherhood of Magicians Magic Set #HGG

My 9 year old is obsessed with magic. Ever since he was a small toddler we've bought magic sets. I've sat for hours at a time watching him pull cards out of his hats and drag his brither around as his assistant. This year for Christmas one of the gifts he asked for was a "real magic kit". He's at the age where he no linger wants the kiddy sets, but instead a real magic set. I looked at quite a few stores and read a bunch of reviews online before deciding on The International Brotherhood of Magicians Magic Set from Hammacher Schlemmer. This particular magic set is perfect for his age. It's not so confusing that he can't figure out the tricks, yet it is something he will be able to work with for years to come. It's also definitely the most realisitic magic kit I've came across. His favorite parts are the illusion box and the linking rings. Within a few minutes of checking everything out he was able to do tricks with the linking rings. He loves seeing the shock factor on our faces when he masters a trick.

This magic set is endorsed by the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the world’s largest organization of professional and amateur magicians. Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, the set contains more than 350 classic card, handkerchief, coin, bill, rope, escape, and wand tricks. Young prestidigitators can perfect their legerdemain skills using the numerous magic apparatuses included, such as a custom deck of cards, magic wand, Chinese sticks, linking rings, and an illusion box with a false floor. The set includes a put-together box that can be used as a presentation platform. A detailed manual explains how to execute every trick, and the set includes a 90-minute DVD with rare footage of master magicians such as Houdini, Vernon, and Buckingham performing illusions. The magic set is recommended for ages 7 and up, but is enjoyed by all ages.
