I was recently given the opportunity to review the Contender 65 Convertible Car Seat by Graco.
Although I received the product for free, all opinions stated are my own.
The Contender 65 was a perfect fit for my 43lb son. He fits perfectly with a lot of room to spare. One of the things I liked best about this particular seat is the foam padding (side impact tested) on the head rest. We always had a hard time going on long trips because my son would fall asleep and his little head would just bounce back and fourth. With this seat his head was comfortable and held in place by the padding. The back of the head rest has a red handle easily accessible with one hand. You just pull it up to adjust the head rest with your childs height.
Helps protect rear facing infants from 5 to 40lbs and forward facing toddlers from 22 to 65lbs.
Simply Safe Adjust Harness System is safe and simple with a one hand, no re-thread harness that automatically adjusts.
Side-impacted tested (In addition to meeting or exceeding all applicable US safety standards)
Engineered and crash tested to meet or exceed US standard FMVSS 213.
One-hand, 8 position adjustable headrest easily adapts to your growing toddlers needs.
Latch equipped with an easy-to-read level indicator for hassle free installation.
EPS,energy absorbing foam for effective impact energy management.
5-point, front-adjust harness helps you get baby in and out.
Cup holder keeps drinks within childs reach
Removable head and body support keep baby comfy
On the side of the seat theres a Level Indicator for hassle free instillation. You just put the seat in and make sure the silver ball in the fits perfectly in the middle. This was a favorite feature of mine because as a Mom I think we always worry if our kids are safely in there car seat.
Car Seats are the most important item we will buy for our babies and toddlers. When purchasing a car seat its important to take your time and research the best options. You may have to spend more money to get the safer seat, but its worth it. The Contender 65 in my opinion is a perfect, safe choice.
